4 to 5 Weeks In? It’s Retouch Time Boo.

As your hair grows, your MYPART part will start looking wider and your tracks may loosen a little. That’s completely normal. A MYPART retouch refreshes your part, tightens your tracks, and brings your install back to life.

Straight and wavy installs usually grow out a little faster. Curly installs can last a little longer, but most clients return around 4 to 5 weeks for maintenance.

Most MYPART clients get two retouches after their full install to enjoy about three months of wear.

Your part looks wider than when you first got it done
Your tracks feel loose or not laying flat
Your style needs a refresh
It’s been about 4 to 5 weeks since your install

Your MYPART part is refreshed
Loose tracks are tightened if needed

Curly installs receive wet styling.
Straight or wavy installs are styled with heat.

Please note this is maintenance only. Your braid base will not be redone and the install is not reinstalled.

Before You Book

This service is only for existing MYPART installs that are still in good condition.

Hair is required for all retouches. Most clients bring leftover hair from their full install. If you are running low on hair, you will need another bundle before your appointment.

When It’s Time for a Reinstall

If it has been over two months since your last retouch, it’s time for a full reinstall.

At that point your braid base and install need to be redone to keep your hair healthy and your MYPART looking its best.

Full Install
Your MYPART is freshly installed and styled.

First Retouch
Your part is refreshed and tracks are tightened.

Second Retouch
Another refresh to keep everything looking good.

Reinstall
Around three months, it’s time for a new full install.
