"MYPART" TAKEDOWN

How to Take Down Your MYPART (Without Snatching Out Your Real Hair)

You did your big one, but now it’s time to let her go. Max wear time? 3 months, with 2 retouches in between. After that, it’s giving “Release her, sis. But don’t panic, takedown doesn’t have to be scary. You got this. It’s just hair, not heart surgery. Let’s do it the right way so you keep your real hair safe and thriving.

✂️ Here’s How To Remove Your MYPART Like a Professional.

1. Start with the tracks, Take out every single bundle, don’t leave even one.

2. Remove the net, Snip carefully and slide it out.

3. Unbraid gently, Start undoing your foundation braids, but leave the two MYPART braids in the front for last.

4. Now the MYPART’s left staring at you. This part is not your real hair, boo.

5. Spray the "Mypart" down, Use a spray bottle to fully soak the MYPART section. Make her juicy. This softens the strands and makes the takedown smoother.

6. Snip the MYPART short, Yes, girl, cut the Mypart hair down to about 2 inches. Trust the process.

7. Unbraid the two MYPART braids, Take your time, this part is delicate.

8. Gently comb the "MYPART" hair out, (wait remember to Wet the part) Start from the ends, work your way up. You’ll see some shedding, that’s the MYPART hair coming out, not your real hair. Don’t panic.

🛑 What to Expect...

Some shedding (totally normal)

A clean, relieved scalp

Your real hair still intact.

🎉 YOU DID IT!

Your scalp is breathing, your real hair is safe, and now you’re ready for your next install,  or a break if your hair said, “Girl, let’s rest.”

The MYPART life is cute, but knowing how to care from install to takedown? That’s grown woman energy.
