RAW CAMBODIAN HAIR 101

Raw Cambodian Hair Education (For My Hair Nerds Only)

This one’s for my hair nerds, the girlies who really want to know what’s sitting on their scalp and why the salon streets can’t stop talking about Raw Hair lately.

Yep. You’ve probably heard it “Raw Cambodian Hair this, Raw bundles that...” and that’s because the people are finally catching on. The demand for quality is UP. The era of cheap hair with fake shine and mystery donors? Done. Finished. Over.

If you’re paying for a "MYPART" install a custom, hand crafted, scalp realness experience,  why would you top it with beauty supply hair? No ma’am. You deserve bundles that match the quality of your install... PERIODT.

Here’s why I only use Raw Cambodian Hair from my Closet17 Collection and why you’re gonna love (and protect) this investment:

Cambodian Raw Hair vs. Brazilian Hair: The Truth

Raw Cambodian Hair (Closet17 Exclusive)

Single Donor, Raw, and Unprocessed
Every bundle comes from one ponytail, from one woman. No factory mix. No random leftovers. Cuticles stay in line, moving in the same direction. This means less tangling, less matting, more shine, and real longevity.

Thick and Full from Root to Tip
Cambodian hair is naturally thicker. You get fullness and movement without stacking 5 bundles. No stringy or thin ends here. Period.

No Chemicals, No Steam, No Coatings
This hair is raw and natural. No silicone shine sprayed on. No fake body wave made by machines. What you see is what you get and what you get lasts way longer than anything processed.

Versatile and Strong
Want to color, bleach, or silk press? She can handle it. Want to sweat in the gym or sleep cute? She can handle that too. Real raw hair reacts like real hair because...it is real hair.

Built to Last for YEARS
With proper care, this hair can last 2 to 3 years. You heard that right, years, not months like the beauty supply drama hair.

Brazilian Hair (The Stuff They’ve Been Selling Us for Years)

Mixed Donors, Processed and Coated
Brazilian hair bundles usually come from multiple donors, mixed and chemically treated to "look good" temporarily. But those treatments break down. Fast.

Coated to Fake Shine
Shiny on day one, but after a wash or two...the true rough, dry texture shows. That’s why it gets stiff, tangles, and sheds early.

Short Lifespan
Brazilian hair might last 1–3 installs tops. Cambodian hair lasts YEARS when loved right. Big difference.

But Wait ... Let’s Really Talk About Cambodian Hair in Real Life

I get it, girl. Cambodian hair can look a little intimidating at first. It’s thick, it’s textured, and it’s very real. But once you know how to care for it? You’ll see why I love it so much.

What Makes It Special

I only use Raw Cambodian Hair. That means it hasn’t been overly processed or steamed. It’s straight from the donor and built to last.

It blends beautifully with our natural textures, especially once your roots start growing in. That’s what makes the install look like yours, not too silky, not fake, not mismatched.

What to Expect

Slight Frizz? Totally normal. That’s part of what makes it look like real hair. Don’t be scared of a little fluff,  just tame her and keep it pushing.

Dryness? That’s your enemy. Cambodian hair loves moisture. When it feels dry, it will start acting up. Don’t starve your bundles, hydrate them.

My Go To Products

For curly or wavy styles:
Water, leave in conditioner, and a lightweight serum. And sis... don’t touch her while she’s drying. Let her chill.

For straight styles:
A blow dryer brush plus serum will keep her smooth without frying her. After that? Curl, wand, flat iron, or rock her natural. Cambodian hair is built for versatility, she just needs a little love.

Remember:
This hair isn’t high maintenance. She’s just high quality. Treat her well, and she’ll return the favor every single time.

Care Tips (So Your Investment Pays You Back...and Back Again)

Listen, raw hair is luxury, but luxury still needs love.
This is low maintenance, not NO maintenance. Treat her right, and she’ll reward you. Neglect her? You’ll be crying into your bonnet wondering why she’s dry, stiff, and sad.

Do not let your $400+ bundles die early because you didn’t follow the basics. I want you to get all the wears, all the flips, all the inches.

Here’s the cheat sheet to keep your hair alive and thriving:

Wash Properly
Use sulfate free shampoo only. Sulfates strip raw hair and make it dry. Shampoo and be gentle around the scalp, don’t rough the bundles like laundry.

Condition Deeply
Raw hair drinks conditioner. Especially the ends. Deep condition every few weeks or once a month to keep softness and bounce. Don't skip this or she’ll tell on you (hello stiffness).

Detangle the Right Way
Always detangle wet or damp with a wide tooth comb. Start from the ends and work your way up. Never yank. Never brush dry. That’s how the hair gets ruined fast.

Air Dry When You Can
Blow dryers are fine, but air drying keeps raw hair soft and natural longer. Lay her flat or hang her gently when not in use.

Heat with Care
Use heat protectant every time before you curl, straighten, or blow dry. You invested in raw hair, don’t fry her to death.

Store Like a Queen
Keep your bundles in a satin or silk bag. No plastic grocery bags. No raw hair tossed on the dresser like it's beauty supply. Friction = dryness and tangles.

Moisturize Lightly
If the hair feels dry after multiple wears, use a little leave in or lightweight oil on the ends only. Less is more, heavy products will weigh her down.

Why Care? Because Raw Hair Pays You Back.

The better you treat this hair, the longer she lasts. I’ve had clients reuse the same bundles for 2 years because they followed these exact tips. That’s how you make your investment work for you.

This isn’t beauty supply hair. This isn’t “toss it after 2 installs” hair.
This is luxury. Real, raw, single donor hair that was collected with care, so you gotta give her care too.

Trust me: if you skip these steps? You’ll be back buying bundles sooner than you should. And that’s not soft life energy, boo.

Cambodian Raw Hair: The Closet17 Standard

This is why I use only this hair for your MYPART install. It's strong, it moves naturally, it holds curls for days and when cared for right, it lasts for YEARS.

Brazilian hair could never.
