Week One With Your MYPART: What to Expect & How to Keep Her Cute

The "MYPART" is Low Maintenance, Not No Maintenance,  just like a soft life, she still needs a lil upkeep to keep it cute.

Your MYPART is fresh off the install chair, so sis, give her a minute to settle in. This first week is all about breaking her in gently while keeping her laid and blended. You might notice a lil frizz, a flyaway, or she might act a little stiff, that’s normal. She’s just adjusting to her new home (aka your scalp).

Here’s what to do (and what not to do):

Flat Iron Wisely:
If Straight, You might need to pass a flat iron just over the MYPART section once or twice to help her lay. Don’t go chasing heat all over your head, this ain’t a press and curl, boo. Only the part, please.

A Little Effort, Goes A Long Way:
If your MYPART isn’t flowing just yet, give her a little help. A bit of detangling with a comb, not a brush. or smoothing will have her blend into the bundles. If she’s curly or wavy, dampen her first before you comb. We don’t do dry drama.

No Heavy Hands:
Don’t yank, flip your head over for fulness, or be rough. The "MYPART" is handmade magic,  treat her with care, or she will start glitching (and we don’t do glitches over here).

Minimal Touching:
You don’t need to “check on her” every hour. Over manipulation = buildup and frizz. Let her breathe, pooh.

Nighttime Check in:
Before bed, smooth her out and tuck her away under a silk scarf and bonnet. I like the scarf, bonnet combo! meaning the scarf goes on first then the bonnet follows last. That lil bedtime routine keeps her fresh in the morning, no touch ups needed.

🔑 Reminder:
This week sets the tone. If you’re rough, lazy, or neglectful, the whole install will give “rushed.”
But if you show her a little intentional love early on?
She’ll stay cute, undetectable, and booked n busy energy until retouch day.

You’re not just wearing a style, you’re living the MYPART lifestyle.
And now, you’re that girl.
